I have experience in operations, design, project management, and senior management.  Because of this experience, I have the ability to really understand what the customer is asking for and what the finished product should look like.

The thing I'm most proud of is starting the Street Kids' Ministry in Managua, Nicaragua.  My wife and I, and our 3 and 4 year old girls, decided to take a career break, packed up, and moved to Nicaragua.  We choked on diesel exhaust, ate stinky cheese, and learned to speak Spanish.  We found Nicaragua to be a confusing mix of the 1950's and modern day.  People made homemade hot plates, but carried cell phones.  The poorest tin shacks had televisions. Mostly we noticed shoeless kids wandering the streets selling candy, shining shoes, and not going to school. We found our mission!   For the next 2 years we worked to establish a primary school and trade school programs for these kids.  We focused on kids that were already at least 2 years behind in school.  We still follow a few of our original students on Facebook (now in their mid-20's).  Many of the original staff have moved on to other leadership positions in community.  The program is still managed by the local church - Cuerpo de Cristo.  If you want to learn more or get involved in supporting outreach in Nicaragua, folow this LINK to Harvest Initiative.
